It’s been quite a while after Kanata manages to be accepted in to the A14 Alliance after ORB pulled away their membership in CSR a couple of months ago. There were others from other region that came in before her on that time too. It was a pretty small alliance though but by the looks of them, they really have much more experience that she expected. As usual for her from the other three alliance she’s been into, she always the person who seldom talks in the board room.
One day, after all of them finish their talks in the board room, Kanata went off and sighs a bit on that time. She wasn’t really had much confident to talk on that time too but she still determined to try and talk more in the future. She then continues to walk until she reaches out from the building where they have their usual meeting. On that time she wasn’t expecting someone to pop up in front of her but there is and that person was Assimilator, the person who invited her and also the head of the alliance.
With a smile on his face, he invited her for a little talk. Although she was a bit embarrassed and all but she still try to talk to him.
“So how’s the Alliance so far for you?”
“U-Um good…”
“How are you been holding up with ORB?”
“Well…good”
“Come to think of it, ORB needs to raise their Economy somehow”
“E-Eh?”
After heading about the word economy, Assimilator starts to open a long lecture about what to do to make the economy of ORB to a much better state so that they would be able to stand together and would be able to get a better defense for it. Although it was pretty long to hear about it but at least she knew she would learn something form the best. She is hoping that someone would teach her about it eventually.

Chapter 4: A New Hope Shines
It’s been 10 years now and everything is back to normal for Kanata and the other survivor for the battle of ORB. They are able to build back their entire defenses after a while of being attack from other kinds of alliance they fought and one of them named [RAGEX]. On that time they were under the protection of an alliance named [CSR] but it wasn’t good enough for them to defend them. It was a terrifying battle against them which almost leads to Kanata’s death. But some of them didn’t make it at all and one of them was also a great friend to her, Todoka.
One day she went on a leave after the battle ended to check the situation of the surface. She then heads to one small beautiful island that was name Yuki because of the snow that keeps on falling ever year. On that particular island also the grave of the other people that fought for their lives for her and that includes Todoka.
“L-Looks like this is the end I suppose… I’m sorry otosan… I can’t make it…”
“Kanata! Kanata! You’re in there?! I’m coming in!!”
“I-I wonder who that was… O-Oh well…I guess… its…all…”
She snaps out from her imagination on what has happen. “Thank you Todoka… Although this wasn’t suppose to happen like this but… I’ll live with the fullest and won’t waste it for nothing… I promise.” She then puts a flower on her dearest friend’s grave and walks away slowly. After a while of walking one of the crew members contact her from the ship.
“Kanata-Sama, there’s a transmission from an alliance name [A14] and he wish to speak to you.” The transmission ends after a while. She wasn’t sure what kind of message that has been sent so she decided to head back to the Kusanagi to check it out.
From the message they receive it is more or less an invitation to the alliance from the head of alliance itself named Assimilator. Kanata remembers that there weren’t many members in galaxy they situated in. So she decided to leave the [CSR] in a good manner way and join forces in their new alliance called the [A14]. It was a brand new hope for them joining the alliance…

Chapter 3: The Raise of the Angels
A couple of days have passed as almost reach the meeting point with the other fleet. “Looks like we are going to meet them after all…” Todoka said as he sips a glass of tea that was provided at the captain’s chair. He then leans against the chair and relax for a while. A couple of minutes later on he heard the door open behind him. It was Kanata, wearing her casual dress on that time too. Everyone gets up from their seats and salutes her to give a sign of respect. “At ease people, you don’t have to be that formal all the time. Don’t mind about me for now alright, continue your work,” she said and gave a warm smile and stands near the captain’s chair while looking at the main view screen. The others sat down and start to do their work again after hearing what she said. “Are you alright with this Kanata? For me to handle all the things here…” Todoka asked while continues to sips some tea. She nodded and gave a reply, “Yup it’s alright, you don’t have to worry about me. I want to see how to manage it first before I start to handle the commands my own after this. Besides the only person who has these kinds of experience would be you, Kira and Athrun.”
“Captain, we receive and incoming message… It’s from the 3rd and 4th Division Defense Fleet!” Kanata was happy to hear that the other defense fleet from the other colony was alright. “Alright open the channel” Todoka said to the communication officer. She nodded and opens the channel.
“T-This… is an emergency…! We are under attack…by unknown vessel… a couple of our defense fleet has been…damage… We’re not…sure how long we can’t last…”
“How far are we with them?” he asked the helm officer that in charge at the moment. “About 2 minutes from the place. It’s not far from here. What’s the order Sir?” That moment was a bit silent thinking on what to do. Looking at Kanata, Todoka decided to go and help the others and everyone in the bridge agrees. “Alright then, all hands… Battle Stations! Tell the Murasame Units, Kira and Athrun to get ready.” Todoka said to them to relay the message to the others.
Upon the arrival, the Kusanagi and the 2nd Division Defense Fleet is far from the range of the enemy scanners and Todoka decided to have 5 Cruisers and 4 Heavy Cruisers to escort them with a couple numbers of fighters. He didn’t want the others to involve or they might get into much trouble if the enemy spot a massive fleet coming in. In an open channel to the fleet, Todoka gave the order “Alright, the Kusanagi will go on the intercept course, the Hikari and Yamato will defend from the side. Kira, Athrun, we are counting on you for this one. Disable the enemy fleet so that we could have fewer casualties. Alright let’s move out!” The small task force starts to move to intercept with the enemy fleet.
As the enemy spotted the Kusanagi and the other fleet that is defending it, the enemy cruisers starts to open fire on them as the fighters moves for an intercept course. The shot was missed as the fleet evades the attack. With a counter-attack they start to fire back at them and it was a hit but didn’t have any effects due to the shields. The enemy fighters move swiftly and start to fire on the Kusanagi and the other defense fleet. After a while the Murasame fleet, command by Kira and Athrun starts to move out and give a heavy beating to them. Although it was 1/3 ratio of the numbers of fighters between the enemy and what they have, they were able to fend them off with minimal casualties. One by one the enemy fighters were taken down. As all the fighters were wiped out the Kusanagi continues to move forward on an intercept course with the other defense fleet, suddenly the enemy fleet shoots out some flares to the dark space and moves off from the place. “Guess that does it then. Maria, contact the other fleet and tell them that we are moving out soon after repairs are done,” Todoka said as he sighs with relief. He was glad as that everything turned up alright. Kanata, still beside the captain’s chair, was happy to see the others survived from the attacks. She then exited the bridge and walks trough the corridor of the Kusanagi passing a couple of rows of windows. As usual, she stops for a while and look outside to see the beautiful stars.
After a couple of hours the repairs are made, they are ready to get moving again. Now with quite a number of ships available, it would be much safer to move to a new place.
Now the journey continues to find a new place to live in…

Chapter 2: Trough the Stars of Night
It’s been quite a while they been traveling trough the galaxy with only warp capability after the jump-gate was destroyed, creating a distortion of the warp hole and the meeting of the other fleet would be delayed to reach from normal warp stats. The captain of the Kusanagi ask the crewmembers to have some moment time to relax from thinking on what has happen these past days. “Yue, take care of the bridge for me for a while will you,” Todoka said as he gets up from the chair and heads off the command post and walks around the corridor of the ship. It was a gloomy moment on that time, some people were crying because of their lost and some people were angered on what has happen. Todoka could only hope that the condition will brighten up again. As he continues to walk he sees Kanata looking outside the window watching the stars. She wasn’t in a bright mood either after the loss of her father in the battle.
“Kanata, I know you are still upset about what had happen to Uzumi-Sama… But you need to remember that he sacrifices himself for the sake of our people and that includes you Kanata-Sama…” Todoka said as he looks outside the window looking at both of the Justice and Freedom unit. Calm as always he continues to talk she finally spoken up. “Can I really do this…? I’ve never give commands to our fleets before either… The only thing I do is watch my father’s reaction if it comes to these kinds of situation… Do you think I can do what my father could do…?” After saying that, Kanata continues to watch the star passing them. Putting his hand on Kanata’s head, Todoka starts to talk again, “Your father trusts you on this and I’m sure you can do it as well as he does. It might be hard from the start but eventually after a while you can manage it yourself as long as you believe in yourself that’s all.” After hearing it, Kanata nodded her head a bit a give a smile.
“Well Kanata-Sa-“Todoka stopped as he sees Kanata’s finger near his lips. “Just call me Kanata would be just fine. I don’t want too much formality between friends” she said while giving out a smile. Chapter 1: The Escape
“Kanata, listen to me. I know this would be hard for you but you must move forward to the future. Orb and the other places needs to have a leader to continue on living in harmony. Without it, they will go down,” Uzumi said to his only daughter as he looks at her a bit concern. Without saying anything Kanata started crying on that time since she worried that she might loose his father. “Father, please come with us… I don’t want this to happen to you… so please come…” crying, she said as she stands on the platform of one of the dreadnaught ship that is prepared to leave the port soon. Uzumi stood up and rub her daughter’s head and smiled a bit. “I have to stay here and give the commands. I don’t want to leave the place that I’ve been protecting the whole time. I won’t let anyone get hold on our sanctuary that we’re been protecting for the whole time and I would like you to understand about it my daughter so please….go and find a new place to live! Don’t let it go to waste!” he said as he forcedly grabs Kanata’s hand and handed over her to the captain of the Kusanagi. “Captain, please take care of my daughter. I hope you will find a better place to live my friend.” The captain and also an old friend of Uzumi nod and salute him as he closes the hatch for launching. Still crying, Kanata sees her father for the last time as the Kusanagi lunches off from the shipyard with a thousand of fighters, a colony ship, 60 cruisers and 50 heavy cruisers escorting the battleship to the jump-gate.
“Fly my child, fly away and spread a new wing of life somewhere and find a better place to live in harmony.” Uzumi said slowly as he see the Kusanagi at the view screen of the ship his in. “Uzumi-Sama! The enemy fleet is approaching and it’s much bigger that we expected before!” one of the commander said as he opens the main view screen. The number of the enemy fleet almost countless as they warp in the systems. As Uzumi seen the number of the fleet he knew that there is a slim chance to escape with minimal casualties but he determined to protect the Kusanagi so that they can have the time to escape. “All hands battle stations! We are going to protect the Kusanagi and the second division fleet so that they can move away from here!” As the message been passed to one ship to another, they acknowledge on what Uzumi said and go on red alert stats.
“U-Uzumi-Sama they’re launching the fighters!” Shouted one of the tactical officer that is on duty on that time. “Relay this message to the defensive fleets. Tell them to start launching the Murasame fighters! And tell them to get the shields up. We are not going to hand over Orb without any fight!” Uzumi said as he gives the order to the communication officer to relay the command to the other defensive fleet. Thousands of fighters were launch to intercept the enemy fleet, cannons and missiles from the defensive fleet are set online to take down the enemy’s fleet. The first shot was fired from the enemy fleet as they fire an Ion cannon to one of the heavy cruisers giving it a heavy beating making it loose balance. After seeing what has happen, Uzumi didn’t give anymore hesitation and give the order to fire.
Shots fire everywhere, Orb fighters tries to dodge the attack everywhere but without much luck a lot of them suffer casualties or being destroyed before reaching the enemy main fleet. From afar, the Kusanagi and the second division fleet almost reach the entrance point of the jump-gate but the enemy saw their movement and starts to give pursuit but was block by the first defense line. Kanata, seeing them battling from the window started crying again. All she sees was the Orb defensive being taken down one by one. As they reach the jump-gate a huge portals open. Both of the Kusanagi and the second division fleet manage to get into the portal and heads off somewhere safer. On the dreadnaught, in a severe damage, Uzumi salutes farewell to the fleet and look back at the main screen.
Seeing only two or three cruisers that are also severely damaged, he sees there’s only one more hope has left. “Looks like they are gone… Alright let’s finish what we have started from the beginning… We…will never…let you take Orb… No matter what…” he said as he pins the password to let the whole place including the planets into a big time bomb. The place gives out a large explosion taking out everything including all the other planets that almost been occupied by the enemy fleet. He makes a plan on regrouping all the fleets back under her daughter’s order so that they can live in harmony one day. “Farewell my child. I’ll give them under your hands now” he said before he was devoured in flames. Kanata suddenly felt something and look outside the window. She fell on her knees and started to cry again.
The fleet continues to move on till they meet the other remaining survivors…
